Now Silver Bowl this is a Chinese takeaway as well as a fish and chip shop. I think they do the best chips in town. The Chinese food is of exceptional quality for the price. I'd recommend trying the meaty ribs on offer here or if you want a filling meal for one, go for the Wandering Dragon.

Now called the Silver Bowl, this chippy/Chinese takeaway has a long history in Bocking. It's been there for at least 20 years, if not longer. The chips are fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside - perfect! The Chinese food is delicious and reasonably priced. It's an important part of the community and saves locals having to travel into Braintree for their takeaway food. The Silver Bowl has a strong following of loyal customers and long may it continue.
